I like your rendition and she's very beautiful too....weird that it reminded me of Dr. Chakwas in her pretty lady days xDD
Poor Miranda. She could have been so much more. BioWare should hire you for character designs. :3
As for Miranda. I think she's not only for sex appeal there. I like her story and she is quite interesting character there's a good conflict there but her visual presentation is just at complete odds with that I think.
We have this engineered person who seems to hate it. Hate these things that her father gave her and wants to be recognized for her own thing. So that's what I wanted to do here. Someone who puts on a comfortable attire and goes about doing this Lazarus thing to prove her worth and not have the engineered bits constantly on display.
Sorry for a lengthy reply, but I don't get to talk about these things much so I go on these rants in the comments sometimes )))
But mostly I just... felt sorry for her. The costume they put her was all about the tits-and-ass, to the point where, to many fans, that's all she was. It hid the fact that her best asset was her brain. Dressing in a skin-tight suit to flaunt the perfect genes didn't mesh with the fact that she hated what her father tried to make her. This is why I really like your version. She looks like an intelligent professional. No need to apologize for the rant! I agree with it entirely. :3 (Was equally annoyed with the way they turned Ashley from Realistic Soldier Woman into Sexy Battle-Babe for ME3, grr.)
Maybe it's because all of the promotions that she got in such a short time that got to her ... I have no idea )
This has given some sparks of inspiration to me actually...
I've been thinking of writing a ME FanFic making the relations between my Shep(s) and their crew more intimate and personable, rather than the "I have Daddy issues that can totally be resolved if we go here and kill some shit" conversations we tend to get from the crew. Sure they will still be there but I would want to write them to be far more... intriguing in a way. And thinking of Miranda dressed like this more often than in the cat suit version shown in the games.
This Miranda looks exactly like a person who wants to be taken seriously.
I like that more realistic outfit seems much comfortable
Also .. no logos for secret terrorist organizations ... just no. It's not a fast-food chain.
I never thought about that, but you are absolutly right
Even EDi has it... under the Skin of Eva Core Brainless!!!
I just remember the scene in ME2 when you come to Mordin, and he find out, after some complicated thoughts, that you work for Cerberus... he only have to look on Jacob's or Miranda's clothes if they are in your team
Only thing is missing is some ads on the citadel to go and buy Cerberus merch at a local shop.
This kind of thing just destroys immersion for me.
Anyways, that's my thoughts behind this. Am I making any sense ?
When I start to think of it ME is a weird series that goes backwards in design, not improving with every iteretion but doing more and more things wrong? so that we can have robo-boobs and robo-cameltoe ... just makes me sad.
